What is a Face Lift? A Face Lift restores the contour of your face & neck to produce a more youthful appearance. A Face Lift involves an incision along your hairline, and around the ear, which allows your underlying facial muscle tissue to be tightened, and any excess skin and fat removed.

In the past, face lifts involved pulling back the skin of the face and neck and removing the excess. This result was too tight, a “windswept” look. This technique also did not “lift” the face; it simply pulled it back and to the side which created a flatter, more two dimensional appearance

How much does it cost?  Once Dr. Stampar has had the opportunity to meet with you and discuss your case, he will supply a full estimate of fees for your proposed surgery, so that you know all your facts and figures – medical and financial – before you make your decision. The range of prices is dependent on how much work is involved from a true “mini lift” for $6500 to a full male lift at $11,000. Most late middle age lifts cost $9500 from first visit to last photos, no extra charge for the TLC to get you to full recovery. Most are amazing the next day, some take weeks to complete wound healing-all patient dependent, but in 28 years, no significant pain or downtime.

These procedures can also be combined with a Neck Lift, Brow Lift or Eyelid Rejuvenation, Lip Enhancement Treatments,  volume replacement, and Wrinkle Filler Injections.

What is a Blepharoplasty?

It is a surgical procedure that removes excess folds of skin in the upper lids and occasionally, pouches under the eyes (lower lids). Upper eyelid and/or brow suspension can improve your appearance, and your vision without the risk of that “deer in the headlights” overdone look! Dr. Stampar’s time proven technique usually produces a very pleasing effect and gives you a more rested, youthful look. Your eyes are an expressive feature – one that people notice first – and your eyelids are part of that feature. The eyes are also the first of our features to show signs of age. As skin around the eye area ages, excess folds appear in the upper and lower lids. Blepharoplasty can have a dramatic effect on your eyelids, restoring a brighter, more rested appearance. Blepharoplasty is one of the most satisfying facial cosmetic procedures because recovery is brief while results are long lasting. Relaxing the muscles around the eyes with “neuromodulators” like Dysport or Botox can also help keep that eye open look and relax smile lines.

What is the recovery time?  You may experience swelling, bruising and dry eyes, which should subside after 7-10 days, prolonged swelling and bruising is typically age related. The final results of your eyelid surgery will become apparent after several weeks, leaving you with a more alert, refreshed appearance. Minimal visible scars can occur at the inside and outside extremes of the incision most hidden in the new eyelid crease. Dissolving stitches are used to minimize scarring and discomfort during healing.

Vaser Liposuction

What is Vaser Liposuction?

It’s an advanced body contouring procedure that selectively removes unwanted body fat.  It is an alternative to the harsh techniques of traditional liposuction. Vaser Lipo uses state of the art ultrasound technology designed to gently reshape your body. What distinguishes the Vaser Lipo procedure is its ability to differentiate fat from other important tissues, such as nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue. Innovative Vaser technology breaks apart fat cells while preserving these other important tissues to promote smooth results and rapid healing. Small 4mm incisions are made after local anesthesia, fluid is instilled, the Vaser is used until uniform melting is achieved, then the liquefied fat is removed meticulously until maximal thinning, smoothing or shaping is achieved.

Is Vaser Liposuction right for me? Do you have that problem area that is resistant to diet and exercise? Vaser it. Vaser Lipo is for healthy patients who are frustrated by the resistance of certain body areas to diet and exercise and seek a fast, low pain solution.

When is the right time for Vaser Liposuction? The decision to have it is highly personal and there is no set age limit. Dr. Stampar will be able to discuss your personal needs and desires to help you make your decision.

How long is the procedure? Dr. Stampar is a perfectionist and is given the whole day to achieve such. After a Vaser Lipo procedure, patients are advised they may leak excess fluid for a day, take 3 days of preventive antibiotic and return to normal activity as tolerated the next day. It takes 8-12 weeks for complete healing but your improved shape is seen in 3-4 days. Patients wear special compression garments for the first 72 hours after surgery to help the skin contract smoothly to the body’s new contours.  After the compression garment, patients are advised to wear a form of shape wear (such as Spanx) for the next two to three weeks.  Cold Laser treatments can “milk out” the swelling are generally scheduled at three and six weeks out from the surgery at no additional charge.
